This month so far.....

September is here....new clients....and the research on Feng Shui is getting more interesting. Doors and Windows should not be in direct line of each other, who knew? More investment gains can be achieved if doors are positioned in the front most forward part of the office.  I am using this position in all of my floor plans!
Still learning about this concept.  Some of it I feel, is still based on common sense.

New clients, I love the prospect.  Thank you to my existing clients for the referrals!!

The anticipation that I happens when visiting the client for the first time always fascinates.
I love the interaction and spontaneity.  That is one aspect that I do miss from my Retail furniture store selling days. I feel sometimes I overwhelm, with too many ideas flowing out of me.

I survived my son Kevin's graduation party.  Over 50 Twenty-somethings, lots of drink and games.  It started raining around 11 pm so the back porch did see lots of foot action.  It had to be power-washed (thanks Kevin) and none worse for the wear.  The curtains were tied up out of the way so there was no temptation to swing from them ( my fear, of course ).

We will be getting ready for Kevin's graduation with one last trip to Windsor, Ontario in October.

I wanted to share a new design concept I found on a blog today "Rough Luxe".  This is a term that from the looks of it, is a style where anything goes.

In this  "Rough Luxe" kitchen the roughsawn boards look great.  I have to check out if Ipe would work for this application.  The wall treatment is fab too. ( Just checked and Ipe is suitable for this application).

This "Rough Luxe" Dining Room is really eclectic. Notice all of the different mix of chair and table styles.

Critics say that the term is being used more in Europe and in the Antiquities World Market.

I do so love old houses, maybe this is where I will be in my next life!!
As September continues, more later.
